How we cost a delivery route
Daily cost = fuel + driver + vehicle. Fuel is kilometres × (l/100 km ÷ 100) × price per litre. Driver is hours × rate. Vehicle is the monthly cost divided by feeding days.
Transport per facility and per portion is that same day divided by stops or portions. Minimum portions = day cost ÷ the PLN-per-portion cap. Maximum distance: from cap × portions subtract driver and van, then divide by the fuel cost per kilometre.
Driver time is entered separately — a longer loop does not add hours on its own. If 20 km extra is 25 minutes extra at the wheel, raise the hours. The calculator does not know traffic or a second run.
When the route eats the margin
The PLN-per-portion cap is not a guess
Take the set price minus food, packaging and kitchen from the contract calculator. What remains can partly go to delivery. If lunch is 18 PLN and food takes 9 PLN, a 1.50 PLN transport cap is cautious — 3 PLN already hurts.
One loop, not the whole fleet
Four kindergartens on the morning run are separate from an afternoon diet-box round. Vans that sit still still cost money — but this calculator asks about the loop you want to judge before adding a fifth facility 40 km further on.
Kilometres stay put, portions do not
The loop is 72 km whether you issue 250 portions or 180. A drop in attendance raises the cost per lunch, because the van still goes. Dietido collects facility orders — then you know whether the route still has the minimum portions before the driver leaves.
Delivery routes: common questions
Add fuel (km × consumption × price per litre), driver time and the daily van cost. That is the day. Divide by facilities and by portions. The month is the day × feeding days.
The day cost and the PLN-per-portion cap. If the day costs 255 PLN and you accept 1.50 PLN of transport in the lunch, you need 170 portions. Below that, delivery eats more margin than you allowed.
In this model the driver and the van are a fixed cost of the day. Fuel grows with kilometres. Cap × portions minus the fixed costs, divided by PLN/km from fuel, is the longest loop. Extra distance without extra driver hours is therefore optimistic.

That one costs a single facility: food, kitchen, margin and the child threshold. This one costs a loop: several stops, a van and a driver. Check first that the route is not too long, then that the contract at the stop holds.
